The main restaurant has expansive views across the gardens, to the Maekok River and the mountains beyond.
We serve a limited number of western dishes, along with an extensive Thai choice. However, we strongly recommend you sample our Northern Thai dishes with some very local flavours, as well as our Burmese Shan dishes, which you will probably not find in any other restaurants. Named after the local craftsman who built the bar using his skills and love of working with wood, this is a lovely place to have morning coffee, afternoon tea, and drinks before or after dinner. The atmosphere is further heightened on chilly winter nights with a roaring fire keeping the cold away.
Dining with a difference
If you are celebrating a special occasion or just want a different dining experience there are a number of alternatives:
- Barbecue If after a few weeks in Thailand you yearn for a change, you might like to order a BBQ with chicken, sausages, pork ribs accompanied with baked potatoes and a variety of salads. (Minimum 4 people; price on request)
- Picnic on the Maekok Between November and June, numerous beaches appear in the Maekok. Take a boat trip and have a leisurely lunchtime or early evening picnic or even barbecue on one of these the beaches. Your table and chairs will be under a Gazebo tent to provide essential shade and your personal waiter will look after you.
